All collected products are dumped into a large holding container. Trucks can back in and dump their load into the container, which is gravity-assisted. The strategic design of the container automatically provides the right amount of material onto the conveyer belt, which carries the material to the next stage. In this respect, the gravity-assisted holding facility acts much like a fast-food straw dispenser, a coal tipple, or a silo.

These items are passed along a conveyer belt, which is under a row of powerful rotating magnets. The only initial substance that is magnetic is steel. It will be removed by the rotating plate of magnets and deposited in an adjacent bin for removal.
