Hunters Pride Labs
Gunner has Master Hunter and
Field Champion bloodlines.
When his trainer brings out the retrieving rolls he is all business and ready to do a good job with whistle commands and hand signals. I was very impressed when the training session was over and he went from total obedience and hard work to very gently playing ball with the trainers 4 year old daughter. Gunner is very intelligent and has a great temperament.
He's a great example of the
"All Purpose Labrador Retriever."
Heidi has multiple show champions in her bloodlines. Her grandsire is Shannon Valleys Beauregard. "Beau" was Best of Breed winner at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in 2002. Heidi is a very special girl from the last litter that Shasta will ever have. From the time she was 3 weeks old until this very day she's been so entertaining and so much fun. She passed her Canine Good Citizen test when she was just 12 months old. She's very well behaved, but very mischevious and we just LOVE HER ! ! !
The breeding has taken place, we will be
watching for signs of pregnancy.
Sweet little baby Heidi
Heidi & Gunner enjoying each others company.
Gunner helps teach Kianti "sit, stay, and down."
(Kia is the little one.)
We really enjoyed having Gunner stay with us for a short period of time.
He is so well behaved and has such a gentle loving temperament.
I'm going to miss him, but his family is happy to have him back home.
Heidi is being very lazy these days ! ! !
Kia is trying her best to coax Heidi into playing with her.
Eventually Heidi was just trying to tell her " GO AWAY, I'm resting."
6-13-06
Heidi's prgenancy test was POSITIVE.
Puppies are definitely on the way.
At 5 weeks into the pregnancy
Heidi is getting a
fat little puppy belly.
She spends a lot of her time
sleeping or just resting.
Heidi is now 8 weeks. She is getting quite LARGE and seems a little uncomfortable. I will be watching
her every move. She'll have
constant supervision and TLC.
The puppies are due any day. They should arrive no later than Friday, July 14, 2006.
Even though Heidi is very close to having the puppies and has to be uncomfortable she still has a sense of humor.
Does
anyone
want
to
play?
We have everything ready.
Now we are waiting,
once again, on
MOTHER NATURE !
I don't know if Magnum is
planning on helping Heidi
with the puppies, or if
he just wants to cuddle in the
whelping pads.
My dogs keep me smiling !

(This picture was taken on Tuesday and
the puppies arrived on Thursday.)
The puppies arrived July 13, 2006 between 1:45 & 4:45 P.M.
What a fast and exciting delivery. A black male, a yellow male, a black female,
a yellow female, a black female, a yellow male, a black male, and a yellow female,
for a grand total of 8 born in just 3 hours.
Two boys and two girls of each color. What a perfect litter.
Unfortunately we lost one of the yellow males when they were 2 days old.
The puppies are here ! ! !
Heidi checking out the whelping

do it her way.
I compromised by putting the pad of
her choice in the box.
