HEIDI'S MARCH 31, 2005 LITTER
3 yellow females, 1 black female, and 5 black males.
Heidi thought she just HAD TO BE on the couch, but by delivery time I convinced her that she really should be in the whelping box.
Heidi is just as content and
happy as can be with
her new babies.
The day after the puppies were born I packed them up in our puppy traveling basket and took them to get their dew claws removed.
My sister has a Miniature Schnauzer that had puppies the day before Heidi. She was at the vets at the same time we were to get her puppies dew claws removed and tails docked.
Hannah is looking in the basket and probably thinking she's glad
she didn't have to deliver those big fat babies.
Hannah's puppies are less than half the size of Heidi's.

The puppies are 1 week old and will open their eyes soon.
This box is getting quite full. It will be
nice when we can remove the rails.
Magnum is just happy he's not
responsible for any of this!
At 3 weeks old the puppies are very entertaining. They have started eating solid food and are going outside to start house training.
Puppies running everywhere.
The fence is very helpful.
The puppies are fed outside the fence. Each puppy has their own dish and as soon as they finish they are put inside the fence for a short play time. Then it's back inside for a nap.
At 5 weeks old we start crate introduction.
At first they protest very loudly, then they give up and go to sleep.
We are still working very hard on house training and they're doing great!
Watch the puppies grow and learn on the next page.
